Bhattadev University, Bajali students protest against CAB

PATHSALA: At a time when students of different college and university are raising their voices against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, the student community of Bhattadev University, Bajali, with the support of the Pathsala Anchalik Students’ Union, registered strong protest against CAB on Tuesday.

A large number of students even laid down on the road in front of the university gate to register their protest against CAB. They shouted slogans against CAB and urged the government not to take such a step. Chinmoy Lahkar, vice-president of the Pathsala Anchalik Students’ Union, even said that they had put restrictions on the entry of the ministers of the State, including some ministers of the AGP party who had given support to CAB just to secure their position. He reiterated that they would never accept CAB at any cost. The protesters shouted slogans while holding placards in their hands and even burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
