Bi-annual convention of Bongaigaon Chambers of Commerce held

BONGAIGAON: The bi-annual convention of Greater Bongaigaon Chambers of Commerce was held on Sunday with a day-long programme at Bongaigaon Railway Institute premises. The programme started with flag hoisting by Nirmal Kumar Baid, president of Greater Bongaigaon Chambers of Commerce, which was followed by lighting of lamp by Phani Bhusan Choudhury, MLA of Bongaigaon.

Dhiraj Chakraborty, secretary of the organization, said that a souven titled Chambers dialogue by Prasanta Ray was unveiled on the occassion. "The souvenir was inaugurated by Subodh Chandra Das, chairman of Bongaigaon Municipality. Social worker Prahlad Singha was felicitated here with Rs 11,000 on the occassion. A cultural programme on folk culture was staged here. In the meeting, we discussed about the problems of the businessmen of Bongaigaon and annual report of Bongaigaon Chambers of Commerce was submitted here," Chakraborty said.
