DOOMDOOMA: Srimanta Shankardev Sangha has been engaged in continuous and sincere efforts for nearly a century to spread the correct practice of the Ek Sharan Harinam Dharma preached by the greatest Mahapurush of all the times in Assam. The three-day session of the 44th biennial conference of Srimanta Shankardev Sangha Eastern Regional Branch was held at the Namgriha of Phillobari Rangpur village in the Tinsukia district on January 20, January 21 and January 22.

Many devotees from various places attended the session and took part in the procession with the Bhagavad Gita. The opening ceremony was presided over by the newly-elected president of Srimanta Shankardev Sangha Eastern Regional Branch Khagen Dutta. The meeting was attended and addressed by Nazira District Sharan Member Pramod Tamuli, Mool Member Surya Shaikia, Tinsukia District Sharan Member Loknath Barua, child speaker Biswajit Neog and many other distinguished guests. The conference was attended by around 1,000 people from all over the country.
