‘BJP Leaders Behind Syndicates in Upper Assam’- State Congress Spokesperson Manuranjan Gohain

JOYSAGAR: The Sivasagar District Congress (I) Committee held a press meet in Rajiv Bhavan on Monday where district Congress president and former Thowra MLA Sushanta Borgohain was present. State Congress spokesperson Manuranjan Gohain sharply criticized the ruling BJP government and also alleged that Jorhat LS MP, Thowra MLA and the Digboi MLA were behind all types of syndicate and commission collection in Upper Assam, especially in the OIL and ONGC sectors as well as in the local markets. Manuranjan also alleged that BJP and AGP party workers and leaders were running syndicates in Upper Assam and collecting crores of rupees as commission. Before the meet, the Congress leaders paid tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary and remembered his contributions. Meanwhile, the Sivasagar district administration also observed Sadvabna Divas to mark the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on Monday in the Sukafa Hall of the Sivasagar DC’s office.
