BSF observes National Constitution Day

GUWAHATI: November 26 has its own importance in the history of independent India. On this day in 1949, the Constitution of India was adopted and it came into effect on January 26,1950. Therefore, marking the dawn of a new era, to acknowledge the contribution of the framers of the Constitution and make aware the people regarding the prominent values, every year November 26 is celebrated as the 'Constitution Day'. This day raises awareness about the Indian Constitution and marks the 72nd anniversary of its acceptance.

In this line, Frontier HQ, Border Security Force, Guwahati and all its under command sector HQs and units celebrated the Constitution Day 2021 as the country accepted and enacted the Constitution to ensure access of citizens to Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. At this occasion, 'Preamble' of the Constitution was read out by Sh U K Nayal, DIG (PSO), BSF Guwahati Frontier,where all the staff of FTR HQ, CAPFs CH and 1st Bn NDRF and BSF Guwahati Air Base were present. Campaign in this regard was also launched to focus on the fundamental duties, an important feature of the Constitution, among all the Seema Praharis, stated a press release.
