BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary’s wife passes away in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: Rashmi Narzay (Borgoyary), wife of BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary, who breathed her last on February 25 at 5.40 am at a nursing home in Guwahati, was laid in presence of several dignitaries, including BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary, minister Chandan Brahma, Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary, BTC EMs Doneswar Goyary, Rajib Brahma, Mritunjay Narzary and others at Bashbari village in Chirang district. A good number of villagers and well-wishers also thronged the cremation ground.

Rashmi Narzary was 46. She leaves behind her husband, a son, a daughter and host of relatives. She was admitted in a private nursing home on February 2. Narzary, a BSc teacher in Government HS&MP School, Kokrajhar was diligent and straight-forward. BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary expressed deep sorrow at her demise. Ministers Pramila Rani Brahma and Chandan Brahma also condoled her demise.

Meanwhile, the general secretary of the ABSU, Lawrence Islary said in a statement that the All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) was saddened after hearing about the demise of two people on Tuesday. Mother of Bibari Boro, deputy speaker of the central committee of ABSU, departed for her heavenly abode on Tuesday. She suffered a brain stroke and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Guwahati. She leaves behind her husband, four daughters and a son. The ABSU extended deep condolence to the bereaved family and relatives.

Islary said the ABSU also condoled the demise of the mother of Dinesh Brahma, literary secretary of the central committee of ABSU. Maishri Brahma was 75. She leaves behind four sons and a daughter. She passed away in the early hours of Tuesday. The union also condoled the demise of BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary’s wife.
