Basumatary said Sarania, in a press meet held on January 3, voiced his opinion against the tribal people and the High Court. He also said that Sarania committed atrocities on tribal people of Assam by snatching tribal political rights in tribal reserved constituency claiming himself to be Boro Kachari when he actually belonged to the Sarukoch community.
