Chhath Puja celebrated with a colourful programme in Udalguri

UDALGURI: Chhath Puja was observed at Puran Thana ghat and Golandighat, Udalguri with a colourful programme on Friday. Puspadhar Bastola, the Principal of Udalguri H S School, inaugurated the religious discourse session on Chhathparva. He elaborated about the tradition of worshipping nature in Hindu mythology. Bidyapati Dahal, the Sanskrit scholar, also delivered a speech on the occasion.

State PHE minister Rihon Daimari inaugurated the signboard of Puran Thana ghat to preserve the place for Chhath Puja. He also addressed the religious discourse session. The session was conducted by Rajendra Prasad Chouhan, the president of the Chhath Puja organizing committee.
