Children Scientists of Lakhimpur Selected for Rashtriya Bigyan Mela

LAKHIMPUR: Twenty-six children scientists, studying in North Lakhimpur BBCM Sankardev Shisu-Bidya Niketan, have brought laurels to Lakhimpur displaying their models at Prantiya Gyan-Bigyan Mela held at Beltala Sankardev Shisu Bidya Niketan, Guwahati from September 28 to September 30. Out of them, Banashree Chutia and Bharnabi Kashyap bagged the first prize in Balak Barga while Pankaj Mili and Debashish Bhorali achieved the same prize in Kishor Barga. On the other hand, Anuranan Mudai achieved the first position in Applied Mathematics event. These students have been selected to participate in the Rashtriya Bigyan Mela to be held in Katak of Odissa from October 17 to October 20. Another students of the school, Bhairav Tayegam secured the second prize in Applied Mathematics while Maitri Gayan and Niharika Hazarika marked the third position in Mathematics Model event in the programme.

On the other hand, three students of Bahpati Sankardev Shisu-Bidya Niketan, viz- Sudristi Priya Devi, Priyanuj Borah and Biswajit Hazarika have also been selected to exhibit their models in the Rashtriya Bigyan Mela. Sudristi secured the first prize in the Balak Barga displaying her model based on friction in Prantiya Gyan-Bigyan Mela while Priyanuj and Biswajit secured the same in Kishor Barga for their model based on electro-magnates.
