COVID-19: Mission Sanitization in Bongaigaon district

BONGAIGAON: As part of precautionary measure for the prevention of COVID-19, Bongaigaon Public Health Engineering Department has prepared a sanitization van under the 'Mili-Juli' initiative of Bongaigaon district administration. The van has been flagged off by the State Food and Civil Supplies Minister Phani Bhushan Choudhary and Dr. M.S. Laxmipriya, Deputy Commissioner of Bongaigaon, near Chilaray Indoor Stadium, Bongaigaon.

The programme was also attended by Rintu Boro, ADC Bongaigaon, Pankaj Chamuah, ADC Bongaigaon, Nilmadhab Das, Joint Director Health Services, Station Manager of Fire and Emergency Services, District Project Manager, NHM and local public.

The major areas to be targeted for sanitization will include shops, premises of schools and colleges, all the office premises such as panchayat office, block office, hospitals, market places and institutional quarantine centres. The entire drive will be undertaken for 30 days covering the whole district as a precautionary measure for prevention of COVID-19 .The aim is to motivate people to maintain personal hygiene, including hand washing with soap, wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
