TINSUKIA: The Tinsukia district has crossed the 5,000 mark of COVID positive cases on Monday since the first positive case detected on 23.5.2020. Of the total 35,537 samples tested, 20,534 samples were tested negative. Though the number of deaths has shown an increasing trend with the record of 65 persons till date, the number of positive cases has been declining. On Monday, 53 persons were tested positive, including a senior journalist and president of Tinsukia e-Media Forum, Ranjit Dutta.
