COVID claims one, 227 fresh cases recorded in Nagaon

NAGAON: COVID-19 claimed the life of one Gulen Singh (65) on Friday here registering the first death case in the district during the third wave of COVID 19.

Sources claimed that the patient was brought to Nagaon BP Civil Hospital this morning with symptoms of COVID 19 and tested positive for COVID-19. But before admitting to the COVID hospital, he unfortunately breathed his last, sources added.

Meanwhile, 227 more fresh COVID 19 cases were recorded in the district again on Friday. Among those who tested positive, 224 were detected through Rapid Antigen Test while 3 cases were detected through RTPCR test, sources said, adding further that 13 patients were admitted to COVID hospital as well as other COVID care centres and the rests were put under home quarantine.
