COVID death at Sootea under Biswanath district

JAMUGURIHAT: One Meera Khaund (54), resident of Hazarimol, Sootea under Biswanath district, breathed her last due to COVID-19 on Thursday. According to information, Meera, an employee of a private clinic in Jamugurihat, was suffering from fever for the last few days but had not visited a doctor. She felt unwell on Thursday and was admitted to Biswanath Chriali subdivisional civil hospital immediately. She tested COVID positive and succumbed to the virus while undergoing treatment.

Immediately, after her death, a medical team from New Nagsankar PHC visited the house of the deceased and tested the family members of Meera Khaund. Three members of her family tested positive.
