COVID treatment in Barpeta to come under strict vigilance

BARPETA: The Deputy Commissioner of Barpeta in an order engaged six magistrates to check the treatment of COVID patients in Barpeta's Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH) and Barpeta Civil Hospital, Kalgacjiya.

Every day one magistrate will visit FAAMCH and Barpeta Civil Hospital to check the treatment of COVID patients as well as the stock of materials like mask, medicine, PPE kit and whether the food items for the patients are good.

At FAAMCH, Pranjal Kumar Das, Circle Officer, Barpeta will visit on Monday; on Tuesday - Gayatri Sarma, Assistant Commissioner, Barpeta; on Wednesday- Linamee Das, Assistant Commissioner, Barpeta; on Thursday and Sunday- Dipankar Kalita, Circle Officer, Kalgachiya Revenue Circle; on Friday - Urbashi Chetiya, Assistant Commissioner; and on Saturday, Chandan Kalita, Joint Commissioner. These magistrates will also visit Barpeta Civil Hospital at Kalgachiya.

These officials have been strictly directed by the Deputy Commissioner of Barpeta, Tej Prasad Bhushal (I/C) to check the stock of COVID materials and the treatment provided to COVID patients.
