MANGALDAI: Darrang district administration on Friday offered felicitation to the APSC qualifiers from the Darrang district at a function held in the conference hall of the DC's office.
Deputy Commissioner Pranab Kumar Sarma offered them felicitation with a phulam Bihuwan and a packet of gifts. Congratulating the APSC qualifiers, Deputy Commissioner Sarma in his speech advised them to be serious in their duties with a people-friendly attitude so that the people, particularly those living in the remote and rural areas and especially the down-trodden section, could avail all the service from the administration without facing any problem. He also elaborately described the duties, functions and responsibility not as an Assam Civil Service cadre, but also as a member of their respective service to be rendered with utmost dedication, commitment and integrity.
The district administration for the first time has organized the felicitation function for the APSC qualifiers. The APSC qualifiers of the district, namely Dr Jebin Gulnar and Hitesh Boro (ACS), Bhabarnab Pratim Nath (APS), Bhagyashree Deka (BDO) and Jyotish Daimary (Sales Tax Inspector), while acknowledging the heartfelt felicitation in their speeches, described it as a memorable moment in their life as they were highly inspired and encouraged with the motivational speech of the Deputy Commissioner and to meet all the senior officials of the district administration.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Vivek Shyam Pangyok took them to all the branches of the DC's office and explained the functioning of the branches. Earlier, officiating DIPRO-cum-Assistant Commissioner Monika Borgohain in her welcome speech accorded a warm welcome to all the APSC qualifiers and all the officials present in the function. Media persons Bhargab Kumar Das and Mayukh Goswami also took part in the felicitation function.
