DC Keerthi Jalli distributes growth monitoring devices among Anganwadi workers

Hailakandi: A ceremonial distribution cum training on growth monitoring devices was held at Deputy Commissioner’s office on Wednesday. Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli distributed the growth monitoring devices to the Anganwadi workers in the presence of District Social Welfare Officer, J.Daimary, Assistant Commissioner, Parikshit Phukan, District Coordinator, Poshan, Rajat Chakraborty, CDPOs, supervisors and other officials. Jalli urged the anganwadi workers to make use of the important tools for correct assessment of growth and nutritional status of children, which will enable to detect any illnesses or deficiencies early so that they can be treated properly. Hands-on training was imparted to the anganwadi workers on how the handle the growth monitoring devices such as weighing scale, stadiometer and infantometer.
