Dhubri: Dhubri Police have busted a gang involved in theft of illegal oil and smuggling of cattle and tobacco in three different search operations. All these were being done under the garb of transporting essential items.

In the care related to carrying illegal oil, Dhubri police have arrested three persons in Golakganj. Police also busted an illegal oil depot in Gaurang Bazar.

Two men involved in cattle smuggling were arrested by Dhubri Police at Chagolia.

Under the garb of transporting essential commodities, the gang members were actually transporting products like gallons of illegal oil, cattle and tobacco.

Products which qualify under the essential items or services category include milk, baby food, medicines, medical equipment, water supply, fire and electricity services and food products.
