Dibrugarh's Alangkrita and Anindita make it to merit list in HSLC examination

DIBRUGARH: Alangkrita Gautam Baruah and Anindita Konwar brought glory to Dibrugarh by securing 2nd and 10th position in the HSLC examination, 2020 respectively.

Out of 13,676 total examinees in the district this year, 8,795 have passed. Among those passed, 2,280 passed in first division, 2815 in second division while 3,700 candidates passed in third division. Pass percentage of the district was 64.31 per cent.

Alangkrita Gautam Barua, who clinched the second position in the merit list of the HSLC examination, is a resident of Dibrugarh Chiring Chapori and a student of Salt Brook School. Eldest daughter of Gautam Kaushik Barua, an employee of the Water Resource Department, and housewife Ranjana Saikia, Alangkrita secured total 589 marks. She wants to be a doctor in future. Talking to media persons, she disclosed that she used to study for 10-12 hours daily.

Anindita Konwar, who secured 10th position in merit list, is a student of St. Xavier's School, Dibrugarh. Resident of Kotuha Maj gaon village, Anindita's father, Nitya Konwar is an account officer of Panchayat while mother Leena Konwar is a teacher of Anganwadi centre. She scored all total 585 marks and wants to be a doctor in future.
