GAURISAGAR: "The students who respect their teachers as well as elder persons will be helped by the almighty. To develop a society, the collective efforts of teachers, students, guardians and State machinery are of utmost importance," said Abdul Jelil, District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO), Sivasagar-cum-Inspector of Schools, Sivasagar division while inaugurating the digital class room of Hatiguli MV School on the outskirts of Gaurisagar under Amgui Elementary Block in Sivasagar district on Monday.

Addressing the gathering, DEEO Jelil urged upon the student community to go ahead in their curricular and co-curricular activities so that they could devote their life for the development of the society. The other dignitaries who attended the function included Debajyoti Gogoi, BEEO, Amguri Education Block, Dipak Borah, District Education Planning Officer, and other dignitaries.

In the function, Rina Phukan Best Student Award was conferred to Dipsikha Rajbongshi, a student of Class VIII of the school. In the meeting, the Chief Minister's scholarships for 2018 and 2019 years were given away to the students. The meeting started with a chorus performed by school students. In the meeting, the students performed modern songs, dance and group dances. Before the meeting, BEEO Debajyoti Gogoi unveiled the wall magazine Jnan Angkuran and District Planning Officer Dipak Borah inaugurated the exhibition.
