District administration launches helpline to redress  people's grievances

DHUBRI, April 8: The Dhubri district administration has launched a toll-free helpline service to ensure speedy redressal of public grievances.

zrul Islam, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dhubri district iugurated the helpline service during the review meeting held in the preview of flood & disaster magement preparation for the district on Monday.

The review meeting was held at the conference hall of the DC where all the district heads of different departments were present.

Apart from that the DC has also set up control room and a helpline for the flood affected people. The control room can be contacted at 231149.

It may be mentioned that Islam after taking charge as the Deputy Commissioner of the district in the month of November ,2014 had announced about starting a toll free helpline number to ensure the speedy redressal of public grievances of the district.

The needy people of the district has now can register their grievances by just dialing the toll free number 1077 while the local STD code will be required before the toll free number in case anyone wants to call from mobile phone.

Bikash Sharma, DIPRO, Dhubri informed that all the complaints would be registered promptly and referred to the departments concerned for speedy redressal of the same.

It may be noted that Dhubri is the first district in Assam which has now a toll free number for public grievances.
