Eight persons test COVID-19 positive in Namrup

NAMRUP: In a random swab test done by Namrup PHC at Namrup, eight persons of Namrup daily market and other commercial establishments tested COVID-19 positive on Wednesday.

Sujit Kamalapuri, Sukanta Paul, Sudarshan Poddar, Islamuddin Ahmed, Ananda Kr Gupta of Namrup daily market, Prabhu Thakur, a barber of Namrup Sonari Tiniali, Sidhanta Bhagawati, a six-year old boy, and GN Kabui of BVFCL tested positive.

On the other hand, Puni Mech, a resident of Joypur, working in Namrup Police Station passed away at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) on Wednesday. She was detected COVID-19 positive. The 32-year old woman was suffering from kidney-related disease and was undergoing treatment at AMCH.
