Election Expenditure Observer discusses poll preparedness in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: Election Expenditure Observer Arvind Sharma, IRAS, convened a meeting on Wednesday at the conference hall of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Tinsukia in which he discussed about the upcoming assam assembly election and on various matters related to the expenditure of candidates, their restrictive parameters, paid news, Model Code of Conduct violations, and social media monitoring.

He also elaborated the functioning of expenditure monitoring and reviewed the working of the Expenditure Monitoring Cell, MCMC, flying squad teams, Static Surveillance teams, video monitoring teams, and video viewing teams. He laid stress on the fact that legal expenditure parameter for any nominated candidate was Rs 30.80 lakh.
