Fake baba held in Chaoulkora Village of Sivasagar

JOYSAGAR: A child was rescued by villagers after a so-called baba abducted him on Tuesday in Chaoulkora village under Konwarpur Gaon Panchayat of Sivasagar.

Sources said that Manasha Baba had abducted a child from his village near Konwarpur and tried to sacrifice him before the Manasha idol. But luckily some local villagers were able to rescue the child.

Later, Sivasagar Police was called and police nabbed the baba, identified as Khirod Gogoi of Chaulkora village. Police also recovered the machete with which the baba had tried to sacrifice the child, sources added.
