Five persons hurt in Bongaigaon clash at Bhatipara

BONGAIGAON: In a sensational incident on Friday night, five persons were injured at Bhatipara of Old Bongaigaon under Bongaigaon PS.

As per sources, a clash broke out between Suren Ray and Babul Ray. "In that clash, Suren Ray, his wife Malati Ray and son Pankaj Ray attacked Babul Ray's family with sharp weapons and iron stick. Total five persons from Babul Ray's family named Babul Ray, Dharitri Ray, Karabi Ray, Ruma Ray and Bitu Kumar Ray were injured. All have been admitted in the hospital. Among the injured, Ruma Ray was pregnant. Later, police arrived on the spot and arrested Suren Ray, his wife and son," said a local person. Police registered a case and started investigation. The reason behind the clash is suspected to be a family dispute.
