GORESWAR: Several villages in Tamulpur civil subdivision have been flooded following incessant downpour since several days in Baksa district. The water level of Puthimari, Suklai and Barnadi rivers flowing through Tamulpur subdivision has crossed the danger mark. Due to heavy rainfall in the Bhutan hills for the past several days, the Deosunga river embankment has been breached and flood water has entered Bangalipara village in Baksa district. Villages like Niz-kasula, Chenigaon, Pachim Naokata, Barigaon and Barpathar have also been submerged. On the other hand, the embankment of Pagladiya River was also breached on Friday and Holapar, Bherberi, Chapatal, Jartalok and Hahkata villages under Mushalpur subdivision have been flooded.
