Former HoD of ENT, GMCH Dilip Kr. Baruah passes away
Dilip Kumar Baruah, former HoD of ENT, GMCH passed away last evening. He was born in 1950 to Harendra Mohan Baruah and Minoti Baruah in Raha Chaki village, Nagaon.
GUWAHATI : Dilip Kumar Baruah, former HoD of ENT, GMCH passed away last evening. He was born in 1950 to Harendra Mohan Baruah and Minoti Baruah in Raha Chaki village, Nagaon.
Dr. Baruah completed both his MBBS and MS in E.N.T. from G.M.C.H. He had served in GMCH for over 30 years in various capacities, and finally retired as Head of Dept. of E.N.T. from Barpeta Medical College. Even after retirement from state service, he served in GB Pant Medical College, Agartala, as visiting Professor and Head of ENT.
He was a renowned doctor, surgeon and teacher of not only Assam, but entire North-East. His last rites were performed at Navagraha cremation ground today. He left behind his wife, a son, a daughter-in-law and 2 grand daughters.
