Former Principal Ajijur Rahman of Chatia Higher Secondary School passes away

JAMUGURIHAT: Ajijur Rahman (76), former Principal of Chatia Higher Secondary School, breathed his last on Saturday at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh. Rahman, who retired from Chatia HSS as Principal in 2004, was closely associated with many social and cultural organizations of greater Sootea area.

Organizations, including Chatia HSS, Chatia College, GyanVikash Academy, Sootea unit AASU, GoriaMoriaParishad, Sootea unit of AxamXahitayXabha, Sootea Press Club, Trade Union Sootea, Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika and Biswanath MLA PramodeBorthakur, paid rich tribute to Rahman. He leaves behind his wife and four sons along with a host of relatives. His demise was widely mourned in Sootea.
