Four youths apprehended with arms and live ammunition in Baksa district

BAKSA: Tamulpur Police and a team of Indian Army of Red Horn Division apprehended four youths from different parts of Baksa district and recovered two 7.65 pistols and four live ammunition.

Based on secret information Police Inspector Ashim Bora, officer-in-charge of Tamulpur Police Station, along with Derchung Narzary, in-charge of Darrangamela police outpost, Nipon Gogoi, in-charge of Kumarikata police outpost, SI (P) Manoj Kumar Das and accompanied by army of Red Horn Division, conducted search operation in the Menoka tea garden area.

The team apprehended Johan Khalkho (27), son of Karlos Khalkho of village Menoka Polashbari under Tamulpur police station in the district of Baksa. After apprehension, he said that he had concealed arms in the house of Budhan Kisan, son of Ratnu Kishan of Menoka Tea Garden under Tamulpur police station in Baksa district. Accordingly, the team of police and army recovered one 7.65 pistol and one live ammunition from the possession of Bhudhan and he was apprehended.

During the course of investigation, Budhan revealed that another accused of Hartola village of Patkijuli area was also involved in arms dealing. On the basis of statement of Budhan, police and army launched an operation at Hartola village and apprehended another youth named Jiten Lakra, son of Nepal Lakra of village HartolaParkijuli along the Indo-Bhutan border under Tamulpur police station in Baksa district. During police interrogation, Jiten Lakra revealed that he had concealed one 7.65 pistol with three live bullets in Adla Bhelabosti under Barbari police station in Baksa district. On the basis of statement of Jiten, the police and army team rushed to Adla Bhelabosti and recovered one 7.65 pistol with three live bullets from the possession of Abhiram Tirkey (28), son of Tota Tirkey of village Adla Bhelabosti under Barbari police station in the district of Baksa. One case has been registered at Tamulpur police station against them and investigation is going on for more information.
