BAKSA: Continuing its effort to reach out to the remote villages on the Indo-Bhutan border in Baksa, the Indian Army on the occasion of Bihu, organized a free medical health check-up camp on January 13 for the local population and senior citizens of the remote Paharpur village in Baksa district.

A joint team of doctors from Red Horns Division and the civil administration successfully organized the medical camp for the villagers of far-flung localities. In its effort to provide succor to the ailing patients, the team of doctors and dentist from army and civil administration provided medical assistance, free medicines and face masks and sanitizers to 1,200 locals. The opportunity provided an effective platform to create awareness regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic and effects of other lifestyle diseases.

The synergy of civil and military administration will go a long way in reaching the remote areas of the country and alleviating the medical challenges of Indian citizens.
