Fresh poll at Sonai polling centre on April 20, 2021 from 7 am to 6 pm

SILCHAR: The Election Commission of India, under sub section 2 (a) of section 58 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, declared that the poll taken on April 1, 2021 at polling station 109-463 no. Madhya Dhanehari L.P School under 10 Sonai Constituency to be void.

Issuing a letter to this effect on Saturday, Returning officer of 10 LAC Sonai Eldad L. Faihreim stated that fresh polling will be taken in 109-463 no Madhya Dhanehari L.P School under Sonai Constituency on April 20, 2021 from 7 am to 6 pm. In this context all the voters of this polling center are requested to cast their votes on this date at the said polling centre from 7 am to 6 pm.

It may be noted that following an altercation between two political parties on the poll evening, three people were injured in an incident of firing at 109- 463 no Madhya Dhanehari L.P School. The Election Commission on Saturday, issuing a notification, declared that the votes casted at the said polling station as void and ordered for fresh poll.
