Golaghat Jatiya Vidyalaya Newly-constructed auditorium hall inaugurated

Golaghat: A newly-constructed auditorium of Golaghat Jatiya Vidyalaya was inaugurated on Sunday. The auditorium has been named after Jogen Baruah and Punyaprabha Baruah and built and donated to the school by their son Rantu Baruah who is a top-level contractor and social worker. The Jogen Punyaprabha Auditorium was inaugurated by MLA of Golaghat LAC, Ajanta Neog. A newly-constructed computer classroom was also inaugurated by the MLA.

A ceremony was held on the occasion which was presided over by the president of the Board of Directors of Golaghat Jatiya Vidyalaya, Dr Ajit Baruah. In the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat, Dhiren Hazarika, members of the Board of Directors, Academic Council, Headmistress Smriti Rekha Bora along with several other dignitaries were present.

In the ceremony, Rantu Baruah, his father Jogen Baruah and renowned architect designer Papu Ghosh were felicitated by the school authorities. Also, annual magazines of the lower primary section and Class VI were unveiled in the ceremony.
