Gossaigaon District Election Officer acts against MCC, COVID protocol violators
District Election Officer of Gossaigaon has taken strict actions against the organisers for violations of MCC and COVID protocols during election meetings by political parties.

GOSSAIGAON: District Election Officer of Gossaigaon has taken strict actions against the organisers for violations of MCC and COVID protocols during election meetings by political parties. Samit Kr Dey, representative of UPPL/BJP has been banned from seeking any new permission for not adhering to the crowd limit mentioned in the permission order. Permissions granted to him earlier have also been cancelled. Abubakkar Hussain Khandakar, of AIUDF, who failed to reply to the show cause notice which was issued to him, has also been banned from seeking any new permission. The District Election Officer, Gossaigaon, has also issued warning letters to all contesting candidates with respect to MCC and COVID protocol violations. Letters have also been issued to SP Kokrajhar and SP Dhubri to take strict action against the people violating COVID protocols.
