Government Employees Haren Kalita Come Forward to help needy people at Demow

DEMOW: Haren Kalita, a resident of Sarugua near Demow and a government employee, distributed Bihu items among six poor families of the area on Friday.

The Bihu items included sira, muri and gur. Government employees are distributing essential commodities among the poor during the lockdown period. Under Sukanpukhuri Gaon Panchayat, the Gyanmalini, Sampriti Samannay and Ujjal Gramya Organization distributed essential commodities among 60 poor families of Sukanpukhuri Gaon Panchayat on Friday.

The government employees as well as the pensioners of Demow and its surrounding areas came forward and donated fund to the Assam Arogya Nidhi in these days. Roma Kanta Das, an Assam Police jawan, and a resident of Sarugua near Demow gave Rs 500 to 50 families as a Bihu gift and on the other hand, Munindra Das, a teacher, distributed essential commodities to five families and also gave Rs 100 to 170 families on Saturday.
