Gunfight between CRPF & Unidentified Miscreant at Upper Dihing Reserve Forest of Tinsukia

Digboi: Massive gunfight broke out in Tinsukia-Digboi Upper Dihing Reserve Forest Area on Tuesday evening.

As per reports, Cobra-CRPF launched an operation based on an input that an unidentified miscreant was carrying a hand grenade in the area.

Sources also informed that the CRPF jawans followed the unidentified miscreants in the jungle area, however, the miscreants started to counter fire upon the jawans in order to escape from the spot.

So far no casualties have been reported during the gunfight.

Also, a Chinese hand grenade was recovered by the CRPF from the spot.

Also, SDPO of Upper Dihing area, Debabrata Moran have reached the spot for further investigation.

It may also be mentioned that the jawans suspected the miscreants to be a cadre of ULFA-I.
