Guwahati: 'Containment Zone' tag removed from Dinesh Ojha path

The area in the Dinesh Ojha path at Bhangagarh was marked as containment zone on May 23 after detected of Covid patients

Guwahati: The district administration of Kamrup (Metro) has removed the containment zone status of the Dinesh Ojha path in Guwahati, Assam, as no new Covid-19 cases have been detected there recently.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Dinesh Ojha Path in Tarun Nagar locality in Guwahati city of Assam was marked as a containment zone on Saturday following the detection of COVID-19 cases in the area and Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu directed the circle officer, Guwahati revenue circle to seal the area with immediate effect.

The boundaries of the former containment zone were as follows:

North: Ashirbad Apartment

South: Assam Flour Mill Campus, G. S. Road

East: HP Apartment

West: Residence of Chittaranjan Sarmah & Aphrodite Beauty Parlour

It is pertinent to mention here that with the detection of 22 new cases in the morning today, total cases of the coronavirus in Assam rose to 1,485. While 284 persons have been discharged, 1,194 persons have been discharged. 4 persons have died so far from complications.
