Abducted girl rescued in Sivasagar

JOYSAGAR: An abducted girl was rescued by Sivasagar Police on Tuesday from Mariani town of Jorhat district. As per reports, this minor girl is a student of the Sivasagar Kamaleswary High School and a resident of the Phukan Nagar area here.

A miscreant allegedly abducted her on June 15 when she was returning from school. Since then there was no information about the girl. But finally, police received secret information about the girl and rescued her from Mariani town. Police also arrested the abductor, identified as Rajiv Tanti of Cherekapara village, sources informed.
