Highest number of Corona cases detected across Dhekiajuli

DHEKIAJULI: The highest number of COVID positive cases in Dhekiajuli was detected on Wednesday. It is feared that more and more cases may come up in the coming days.

On Wednesday, 28 COVID positive cases were detected in the Dhekiajuli Revenue Circle area. Of them, 11 have been sent to the COVID Care Centre in Tezpur, informed Moinul Hoque, data operator COVID from Dhekiajuli PHC.

During the day, six COVID-positive cases were reported each from Hugrajuli PHC and Borsola NPHC; five each from Dhekiajuli CHC and Singri SD; three from Dhekiajuli PHC; two from the Sirajuli Model Hospital; and one from Raikhasmari NPHC.

On Tuesday, 14 COVID positive cases were detected in the Dhekiajuli Revenue Circle area. Of them, nine were detected in Dhekiajuli PHC; two in Sirajuli Model Hospital; and one each in Rowmari SD, Doomdooma PHC, and also Dhekiajuli CHC. Of these 14 COVID positive cases, six COVID patients were sent to the COVID Care Centre in Tezpur while the other patients are in home quarantine.

On the other hand, due to the significant rise of COVID-positive cases all over Assam, as per the new SOPs issued by the Government of Assam, all shops, business establishments and markets closed down from 2 pm on Wednesday.
