Himanta Biswa Sarma takes stock of preparation for 88th session of the socio-cultural organization

MORIGAON: State Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday met the volunteers of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha and other heads of various departments in the DC’s conference hall and took stock of the preparation for the 88th session of the socio-cultural organization.

Regarding constructions of roads, he asked heads of the PWD department to complete construction soon ahead of the conference to be held from February 6 to February 9 at the Rasaraj Lakhsminath Bezbarua Samanway Khetra in Morigaon district. The minister also asked the heads of PHC, Health and fire brigade to be prepared for the conference.

In presence of Tiwa Autonomous Council CEM Paban Manta, DC Rituraj Bora, Srimanta Sankardev Sangha secretary Babul Bora, Morigaon SP Swapnaneel Deka and minister Piyush Hazarika, the minister discussed various problems, including manpower shortage, in each department.

He directed heads of all departments to prepare a list of vacant posts so that steps could be taken to address the problem of manpower shortage before the conference. He also held a discussion with the heads of the electricity department. He asked them to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the conference.
