The flood-affected villages are Rupatal, Bhehguri, Balipara, Hapabari, Gerua, No.2 Amguri, Habibhanga, No.2 Kalaigaon, Bagichachuba, Garubandha, Singrimari, Bhatikhan and Sagunbahi.  Thousands of bighas of standing crops were destroyed and several fisheries were also washed away.

The Kalaigaon AASU submitted a memorandum to the Udalguri Deputy Commissioner through the Circle Officer of Kalaigaon revenue circle. The students’ body demanded immediate repair of the embankment of Noa River which was damaged by floods in several portions.

Further, president Ranjit Nath, and secretary of Kalaigaon AASU Madhurjya Sarma requested the DC to ask the PWD officials to repair an RCC culvert on the road from Kalaigaon to Udalguri which was washed away by floods, due to which the vital communication link to headquarter Udalguri has been cut-off since July 16. They also alleged that an RCC bridge on the road from Mekenzi to Khampahola Mandir was also washed away by floods before its inauguration.
