DHUBRI: Construction of a dilapidated road in Kamtapur Autonomous Council (KAC) area under Bongaigaon district, was started by the council on Sunday. Chief of KAC Gokul Barman formally inaugurated the road construction work which falls in Kakoijana village. It will be completed with Rs 9 lakh fund sanctioned by the council under 2021-22 financial year.
People of the village expressed satisfaction over the beginning of the construction of the dilapidated road. During inauguration programme, many people including Executive Member of KAC, Purabi Sarkar and AKRSU activists were present. A source in the KAC informed that road will be constructed from Beltali Lakhi Temple to the house of Buddhadeb Barman. Talking to The Sentinel, Chief of KAC, Gakul Barman said that there are many works including some roads which are lying in dilapidated condition to be either repaired or constructed soon.
