Kokrajhar Revenue Circle building inaugurated by BTC Executive Members

KOKRAJHAR: BTC Executive Members Doneswar Goyary and Rajib Brahma on Wednesday ceremonially inaugurated the newly-constructed Kokrajhar Revenue Circle in the heart of Kokrajhar town in presence of BTC Principal Secretary and other officials. According to official sources, the three-story building was constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.46 crore.

Both the EMs also laid the foundation stones for installation of statues of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma, Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma and Padmashree Pratima Baruah Pandey at Bodofa Memorial Park near Rupsi Airport in Porbatjhora subdivision of Kokrajhar district. The construction of big garden with installation of statues of the State’s icons in different fields will be completed at a cost of Rs. 5.40 crore while newly-constructed Veterinary Guest House at Titaguri near Kokrajhar built at a cost of Rs. 70 lakh was also inaugurated by Goyary and Brahma. In another programme, EM Rajib Brahma laid the foundation stones of installation of statues of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma, Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma and Kalaguri Bishnu Prasad Rabha at Bodofa Cultural Complex, Kokrajhar.

Meanwhile, former Speaker of BTC, Paneram Brahma, in presence of former EM James Basumatary, laid the foundation stone for installation of statues of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma and Bhupen Hazarika at Kajalgaon District Centre in Chirang district.
