Lakhimpur Lions Club Distributes Drinking Water, Fruit Juice on Eid

LAKHIMPUR: Lakhimpur district branch of Lions’ Club International distributed pure drinking water and fruit juice among the devotees of Islam religion on the sacred occasion of Eid on Monday at Lakhimpur Idgah Maidan. On this occasion Lions club chairperson Manik Lal Damani gave warm felicitation to Idgah Committee chairperson Sirajul Islam Hazarika. Lions Moon Rudrapal, Subrat Saha, Jasbinder Singh, Dr. A. Rahman and Dr. AS Talukdar participated in the programme.

On the other hand, the organization also distributed pure drinking water at main chariali of North Lakhimpur town on the same day on the occasion of last Monday of Shravan month of Indian calendar. Notably, the last Monday of the Shravan month of Indian calendar is traditionally regarded to be one of the sacred days of the year. Lions Rajesh Malpani, Gopal Choudhury, Deb Ananda Sarmah, Anand Agrawal, Saroj Malpani, Tipu Bhawal and chairperson Manik Lal Damani conducted the programme serving thousands of people who came to the town for different occasions relieving them from scorching heat of the day.
