Lakhimpur Yoga Vigyan Mahavidyalaya inaugurated

LAKHIMPUR: The 29th Yoga Vigyan Mahavidyalaya of the State was inaugurated at the Telahi Tuwaram Nath College (TTNC) premises located at Khaga in Lakhimpur district on Sunday.

The Yoga Vigyan College, which is affiliated to Krishna Kanta Handique Open University, was founded under the auspices of Bharatiya Yoga Sanskriti aru Yoga Chikitsa Kendra under the supervision of Asom Pradeshik Yogi Sanmilani.

The founder of Bharatiya Yoga Sanskriti aru Yoga Chikitsa Kendra, Yogacharya Subhasish Kar formally inaugurated the institution in the presence of a host of eminent personalities. The programme organized on this occasion was held with TTNC Principal Nandeswar Nath in the chair while Asom Pradeshik Yogi Sanmilani vice-president Prashanta Kumar Borah explained the objective of the programme. In his lecture, Yogacharya Subhsish Kar urged all to practice yoga in their day-to-day life highlighting its importance.

District Sport Officer Chemi Saikia, along with Sanjib Borah, Dulal Goswami, Lohit Chandra Khaond and Manik Phukan delivered speeches. Yoga instructor Dulal Chandra Nath offered the vote of thanks in the programme where seven resolutions were taken regarding the institution.
