LAKHIMPUR: Lakhimpur District Congress Committee held its executive meeting on Friday with a view to strengthen the party’s organizational base and to discuss the convention of Jana-Jagaran Yatra. The meet commenced at Rajiv Bhawan in North Lakhimpur with LDCC president Dr. Joy Prakash Das in the chair.
“The organizational base of the party in the district must be strengthened. For this, the portfolios of the office bearers of the party will be reshuffled, if required, at different levels of the district committee,” the president stated addressing the district committee dignitaries and executive members.
Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) secretaries Partha Das and Rana Borah delivered speeches in the meet attending as observers. LDCC vice president Gagan Chandra Borah, Opel Hazarika, general secretary Pankaj Saikia and Ayub Ali spoke in the meet chalking out strategies with regard to strengthening the party’s organizational base. Vice president Padmeswar Pamegam, general secretaries Pradip Gogoi, Gangajyoti Tayegam, Dhan Mahammad, Bimal Das, Sewa Dol president Pabitra Gogoi, and other members were present in the event.
