Mishap claims one, 14 injured in Karbi Anglong district
In a tragic mishap, one person died while 14 others sustained serious injuries at Manja in the Karbi Anglong district here on Sunday.

HOWRAGHAT: In a tragic mishap, one person died while 14 others sustained serious injuries at Manja in the Karbi Anglong district here on Sunday.
According to reports received, the incident took place at a picnic spot at Longvoku situated near Manja. The incident took place as the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident after its brakes failed. In this incident, one person in the vehicle died on the spot, while 14 others sustained injuries.
The deceased person has been identified as Rakesh Kru. The reports further said that the group was travelling from Morigaon to a picnic spot at Longvoku situated near Manja. Later, the body was sent to the DMCH for postmortem and 14 other injured persons were admitted at the DMCH for their advanced treatment.
