Morning Club of Bedeti in Biswanath district to observe World Earth Day

Biswanath Chariali: Morning Club of Bedeti in Biswanath district will celebrate 50th anniversary of World Earth Day on April 22 with an aim of planting 5,000 saplings worldwide. The theme for the 50th anniversary of Earth Day is ‘The World Belongs to the Children’. The day has been organized for promoting environmental awareness. The club suggests everyone to stay home, stay safe and to plant a sapling at home. A good number of actors, artistes, young change makers and environmentalists have supported this initiative. The Earth Day Network of Morning Club, Assam campaign connects with 10 countries in the world viz. Italy, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Philippines, Nepal, Vietnam, Mauritius, Austria and South Africa. Peace Garden Afghanistan and Sithi Global Malaysia are partner organizations in this endeavour.
