National Assessment and Accreditation Council-Sponsored National Workshop held in Chaiduar College

GOHPUR/BISWANATH CHARIALI: A two-day national workshop on ‘Quality Assurance and Assessment and in the Light of Revised Accreditation Framework of NAAC’ was held in Chaiduar College recently. The national workshop was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Chaiduar College with financial assistance from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore.

The primary objective of the workshop was to sensitize the colleges and other institutions of higher education regarding the new methodologies of assessment and accreditation implemented by NAAC so that these institutions can get familiarized with the procedural nuances and complexities required while going for their respective accreditation and re-accreditation.

The event received tremendous response as Principals, co-ordinators and members of IQACs of a large number of colleges of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh participated in the two-day deliberation and discussion. The keynote speech was delivered by Prof HS Yadav, Director of North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Arunachal Pradesh. Prof. Nityananda Sarma and Prof. Utpal Sharma, both from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Tezpur University, and Prof RC Parida of the Department of Commerce, Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar, acted as the three distinguished resource persons in the two-day event.

In the beginning of the workshop, Dr. Anjan Kr. Ozah, Principal of Chaiduar College, gave the inaugural speech and Dr. Arindam Sarma, Co-ordinator, IQAC, Chaiduar College, gave the welcome address.
