New Board of Directors takes oath at Lions Sewa Kendra, Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: The Lions Club of Tinsukia City of Joy installed the new Board of Directors for the year 2022-2023 in an induction programme held on Sunday at Lions Sewa Kendra, Tinsukia.

The chief guest-cum-installation officer Lion Dr Shantanu Lahkar, renowned orthopaedic and the vice District Governor-I of Dist 322D, administered the oath to the newly-elected Board of Directors. Jayanta Baruah, chairman of Tinsukia Municipal Board, was also present as an invited guest.

Navajyoti Gohain presented the secretarial report of the entire activities of the last session. The secretarial report highlighted the service activities of a number of Covid vaccination camps, donation of sanitizers, meals to the hungry, blood donations, relief camps at flood-affected areas, diabetic awareness and sugar test, tree plantation, donation of machinery devices to physically challenged people etc. The new board of directors who assumed charge include Sudipta Kr Dey as president, Navajyoti Gohain and Nilakhi Das as secretary and treasurer respectively. Amar Dey and Nilakhi Das received awards for service excellence for their activities in the last term.
