New Tinsukia Superintendent of Police (SP) Debojit Deuri assumes charge

TINSUKIA: Debojit Deuri assumed charge as new Tinsukia Superintendent of Police on Monday.

An upright police officer, Deuri also served as Superintendent of Police of Sadiya police district for a brief stint in 2018-2019. During his tenure in Sadiya, he was instrumental in curbing inter-State illegal trade of timber and drugs and movement of militants in vast riverine areas of Sadiya. Deuri, after assuming charge on Monday, held discussion with senior police officials of the district.
