Niren Chandra Das's first book "Smriti-Binondiya" inaugurated in Bongaigaon

BONGAIGAON: Eminent culture and social worker Niren Chandra Das's first book "Smriti-Binondiya" was inaugurated in a small and short program arranged on evening of September 5.

In the program organized at Asom Krishti Bikash Sangha, the book was inaugurated by five noted persons of the area - Hemanta Sarma, Residential Editor, Asomiya Pratidin newspaper; Ajit Das, Ex President of Bongaigaon Xahitya Xabha; Dr Hitesh Das, Ex Principal of Bongaigaon College; Gopeswar Talukdar, Ex Proffessor of Bongaigaon College and eminent writer cum social worker; and Haranidhi Chakraborty, Ex Bank employee and social worker.

Addressing the public, Hemanta Sarma said that Niren Chandra Das was associated with the cultural society of Bongaigaon for long decades. "He has written more than 200 articles, story, poems etc. This first book of Das is collection of few of those," Sarma said.
